Turl Street Kitchen website
Website design.
My first website design project at Hub Ventures was the Turl Street Kitchen site in 2012. Turl Street Kitchen, a cafe/bar/restaurant in central Oxford, and a social enterprise in the Hub Ventures family, is popular with locals and tourists alike. We wanted to create an aesthetic that is striking and classy, pairing strong imagery with clean design and layout. We also wanted to ensure the website looks great on all screen sizes.
The Turl Street Kitchen receives around 20,000 hits a month, with a bounce rate averaging at 30% over the last 12 months. The menu changes twice a day to reflect what’s fresh, available locally and in season – this ensures repeat traffic to the website, around 35% of visitors.
